19th CENTURY | SILVER OPEN FACE | CYLINDER ESCAPEMENT
Up for sale is beautiful & elegant silver open face pocket watch, beautiful fancy enamel dial with floral decoration, very very few hairline, few scratches and slightly faded dial, unsigned movement with cylinder escapement, watch is in running condition but accuracy not timed, a SOLD-AS-IS item! DESCRIPTION:
Year : 19th Century
Size : Approx. 39mm, excluding stem.
Case : Sterling 925 silver engraved with beautiful floral decoration, it has a hinged cuvette, front & back cover which all works fine, all closure shut tightly, back stamped with 0.800 silver hallmarks, cuvette marked "CUIVRE 752561", few dirt with normal wear and marks, scratches and slightly oxidation on cuvette.
Crystal : Glass with numerous scratches.
Dial : Fancy enamel dial with gold tone floral decoration, very very few faint hairline & scratches, slightly faded on upper part of dial, blue steel hands, black Roman numerals with outer scale.
Movement : Key wind key set gilt movement, unsigned cylinder escapement, running condition but accuracy not timed, gold? balance and balance staff is OK, few dirt with normal wear and marks. Does NOT comes with key.
Overall a beautiful & elegant pocket watch in running condition, truly a beautiful gem for pocket watch lovers & collectors.
