Up for sale is beautiful silver hunter case PW, dial signed "L.Staunton London" with a anchor logo, lever escapement movement, watch is in running condition but accuracy not timed, may needs minor repair/cleaning, cracked dial and MISSING the release button and glass crystal, a SOLD-AS-IS item! DESCRIPTION:
Year : circa 1881
Size : Approximately 50mm, excluding stem.
Case : 925 Sterling Silver case with full English hallmarks, normal wear dirty with stains and scratches, front cover hinge is loose seems the spring is not working, MISSING the case opening release button! the spring loaded front cover is NOT working, other hinges and catches are all working fine.
Crystal : MISSING.
Dial : White enamel dial with few faint hairline, cracks at 10 & 11 o'clock position, few chips on dial edges, dirty with stains, signed "L.STAUNTON LONDON" with a anchor logo. Gold spade hands seems to be original, blue steel seconds hand. Black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial.
Movement : Key wind key set, running quite good but a little bit sluggish may need some cleaning. Compensation balance with blue steel hairspring, diamond endstone, caped jewels, comes with original gilt dust cover. Movement signed "L.Staunton LONDON 73004". (Does NOT comes with key)
Overall a beautiful & descent pocket watch, believe that it will be a stunning great and beautiful gem after minor repair, cleaning and adding back a suitable glass.
