Up for sale is beautiful silver hunter case PW, dial signed "Stewart Dawson & C° Liverpool", lever escapement movement, watch is in running condition but accuracy not timed, dented front cover, missing glass crystal and the front cover hinge is loose, SOLD-AS-IS item! DESCRIPTION:
Year : circa 1900-1910
Size : Approximately 51mm, excluding stem.
Case : 925 Sterling Silver case with full English hallmarks and "S.D & C°" marks, dirty with stains and scratches, front cover hinge is loose/damaged (open at over 120 degree) and minor oxidation are found, believe that the bow is NOT original, dented front cover, other hinges and catches are all working fine,
Crystal : MISSING.
Dial : White enamel dial with few faint hairline, cracks at Eight o'clock position, few chips, dirty with stains, signed "STEWART DAWSON & C°.". Gold spade hands (Probably the minute hand is NOT original), blue steel seconds hand. Black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial.
Movement : Key wind key set, lever escapement in working condition but accuracy not timed, compensation balance with blue steel hairspring, balance staff is OK, diamond endstone, caped jewels, comes with original gilt dust cover. Movement signed "11903 Liverpool Stewart Dawson & C°." (Does NOT comes with key).
Overall a beautiful pocket watch, believe that it will be a stunning great and beautiful gem after small repair of the case and adding back a suitable glass.
