C1800s | FRENCH SILVER OPEN FACE | VERGE FUSEE ESCAPEMENT
Up for sale is beautiful French silver pocket watch, verge fusee escapement movement, watch is in running condition but sluggish and running slow, may need minor adjustment/cleaning, accuracy not timed, dial is damaged and probably is a redial, case is dented with lots of scratches, a SOLD-AS-IS item! DESCRIPTION:
Year : circa 1800s
Size : Approximately 46mm, excluding stem.
Case : Silver open face with French Chimera hallmark, inner marked "C? 3074 3", case is dented and worn, dirty with marks and numerous scratches inside, hinges and catches are all working fine.
Crystal : Bulls eye glass with numerous scratches.
Dial : White enamel dial(39mm) with poor repair works - lots of cracks and chips, dirty with stains, MISSING hour hand, blue steel minute hand, one of the feet is broken, probably is a re-dial, black arabic numerals.
Movement : Key wind key set verge fusee, show signs of repair/re-dial work, runs but a little bit sluggish/slow may need some cleaning, signed "Le Roy A PARIS". (Does NOT comes with key)
Overall a beautiful pocket watch, believe that it will be a stunning great and beautiful gem after cleaning and replacement of the dial.
