Up for sale is lot of 2 beautiful nickel open face pocket watch - Elgin & Waltham, both are in running conditions but accuracy not timed, good for restoration project or parts, sold-as-is items.

DESCRIPTION:
• ELGIN :
Year: Circa 1917
Size : 55mm, excluding stem.
Case : Plain polish screw in type nickel silver case, damascened inner back cover signed "DUEBER SILVERINE CANTON.O", dirty with stains, few oxidation and scratches.
Crystal : Glass, not original and seems it was glued.
Dial : White enamel dial with few hairline, few dirt with stains. Blue steel spade hands/seconds hand. Black Arabic numerals with outer minutes scale and subsidiary seconds dial.
Movement : Grade 294, model 5, stem wind stem set, lever escapement with 7 jewels, run & stop condition and sluggish so may need claening/service, accuracy not timed, compensation balance with blue steel hairspring, balance staff is OK, signed "SEVEN JEWELS 19997459 ELGIN NAT'L WATCH CO. U.S.A.", MISSING 1 mounting screw, dirty with scratches and cleaning marks, missing one mounting screw.
• WALTHAM :
Year: Circa 1912
Size : 53mm, excluding stem.
Case : Plain polish screw in type nickel silver case, inner signed "N°1 FATHYS ORESILVER PAT.FEB.19TH 1884", dirty with stains, few oxidation and scratches.
Crystal : Plastic, not original and seems it was glued.
Dial : White enamel dial with few dirt with stains, MISSING the minute hand. Blue steel hour/seconds hand(Seems not original). Black Roman numerals with outer red minutes scale and subsidiary seconds dial.
Movement : Grade 18, model 1883, stem wind stem set, lever escapement with 7 jewels, running condition but accuracy not timed, compensation balance with blue steel hairspring, balance staff is OK, caped jewels, signed "18407076 American Waltham Watch Co.", MISSING 1 mounting screw, dirty with scratches and cleaning marks.
Believe that it will be a beautiful gem after adding back a suitable glass and minute/sec hand.
Both are SOLD-AS-IS items, what you see in the photos is what you get, good for parts, projects or restoration.
