From 1954 to 1974 the absolute stars of Sidecar racing were the legendary BMW "Slippers" team (as the sidecars were humorously nicknamed) who took no fewer than 19 world titles in the category.
The proposed model id the version with which the Max Deubel - Emil Hörner team won the world title four times running from 1961 to 1964.
The original BMW 500 boxer engine with final universal transmission owes its long life in this type of competition to an excellent deflecting torque at low speeds and to an extraordinary reliability, The advent of powerful YUS four cylinder engines towards the end of the 60's marked the end of BMW domination.
What has not changed is the fame which, together with their victories, these sidecars won on the world's circuits, occupying the first five places in the world championship classification for several years.
Up for sale is a beautiful, unique & rare 1/9 BMW 500cc sidecar model kit. This is a re-release edition and truly a exceptional beautiful kit by Protar with passion.

• Kit includes silver plated parts, soft rubber parts, clear part and coil springs.
• All tires seems in good(elastic) condition.
• Decals seems in good condition - slightly yellowed.
• The AAA-size battery appears in photo 3 is just for scale only, NOT NOT included in this sales.
