This extraordinary car was born especially on the occasion of the Grand Prix of Italy, which took place at the Monza circuit on September 4th, 1927; it represents the last sensational competition product, which definitely marks the end of Fiat’s presence in sport contests.
The 806/406, developed according to the formula of the 1500 cc. with compressor, which meanwhile had become a rule, was an extremely refined construction. Its frome was the utmost that could be obtained from the old formula with main frame members with leaf spring suspension.
Drowned between the main frame members there was a most remarkable engine with 12 cylinders divided into two parallel rows of six. The distribution conducted only by one train of gears, consisted in three camshafts, the central one of which controlled the valves of the two ranks of each main bearing.
The obtained power was of about 187 CV. and the maximum speed of about 240Km/h. This car was entrusted to Pietro Bordino and won with extreme ease the semi-finals and the final, during which even vehicles of a slightly superior displacement were defeated.
The total speed of 152,205 km/h - 155,446 of maximum speed during the record lap - represent the best proof of the efficiency of this 1500 cc. car, which, after onlay a short time, was withdrawn together with all the others that had remained from earlier years to be destroyed.
With this vehicle, Giovanni Agnelli intended to give a lesson of skilfulness and style to the whole world that turned around four wheels.
The model, which we reproduce, is distinguished by these features and represents the only possibility to appreciate this type of car with all its smallest details, as photographs and designs dating from that period of time are the only documents left to give proof of what was the extraordinary competition car built by Turin firm.

This is one of my favourite from my vintage collection, a extremely beautiful masterpiece kit which was manufactured in 1975, especially the beautiful metal body and suspension system and so as the ever lasting box art with classic painting. A piece of beautiful history and memories.

• Condition : Open box, unassembled.
• Box is POOR condition - dented & damaged side panel, dirty with stains, box yellowed, scratches & scuff marks, box wear and dent.
• Content : Complete, unassembled, all parts are still sealed in plastic bags except for soft rubber sprue and tires, some parts had separated from the sprue.
• Kit comes with screw, wires, metal body & chassis and soft rubber tires.
• Minor oxidation/rusting on small metal parts/screw.
• Instruction manual - yellowed, dirty with stains.
• All tires seems in good(elastic) condition, dirty with dust and one of the tires had some "stick on it's surface".
• Decals seems in poor condition, not sure if it is working fine due to it's age so buyers please put this into your consideration.
• Inner plastic tray has been damaged/broken due to it's age.
• The AAA-size battery appears in photo 3 is just for scale only, NOT included in this sales.
• A extremely beautiful and must have item for both model builder and collector!
