C. 20th CENTURY | TRAVELLING WATCH CLOCK | LEVER ESCAPEMENT
Up for sale is vintage travelling / desktop watch/clock with a military style dial/hands, probably is a 8 day lever escapement movement, damages/crack on the case's front panel, clock is in good running condition but only runs for 3-4 hours, probably the spring is broken, accuracy not timed, SOLD-AS-IS item! DESCRIPTION:
Year : C. 20th Century
Size : 12 x 10.2 x 2.6cm ( 4.7" x 4" x 1" )
Outer Case : Plain finish case signed { • BEST GRADE MOULDINGS • BRITISH MANUFACTURE REGISTERED TRADE MARK "BERSIM"}, dirty with stains and scuff marks, damage/crack on the front plate, hinges working fine and case closed tight.
Inner Clock Case/Dust cover : very dirty with oxidation/rusting.
Crystal : Glass.
Dial : White enamel dial with few dirt with stains, signed "FALCON ?? & ??? HONG KON ?"(paint off), military style dial with arabic numerals and hands are damaged with rusting.
Movement : Stem wind stem set, lever escapement with at least 9 jewels, running condition but only runs for 3-4 hour, probably the spring is broken and need minor repair, accuracy not timed, compensation balance with blue steel hairspring, balance staff is OK, MISSING one mounting screw.
