20th C. | SILVER OPEN FACE | MOVADO | LEVER ESCAPEMENT
Up for sale is beautiful silver Movado pocket watch, lever escapement movement, watch is in running condition but gain 7-8 minutes after running for 24 hours. It has been store in my cabinet for over 25 years so a complete overhaul is recommended, SOLD-AS-IS item! Please refer to all the photos.

DESCRIPTION:
Year : 1940s
Size : Approximately 41mm, excluding stem.
Case : 900 Silver open face with full hallmarks, it has a hinged front and back, all hinges and catches are all working fine. Inner back cover marked "0.900 27157 0626128". Dirty with stains and scratches.
Crystal : Glass with lots of scratches.
Dial : White enamel dial with few stains & marks, signed "MOVADO". Black Roman numerals and subsidiary seconds dial. Few oxidation/rusting on the hour & minutes hands.
Movement : Calibre 620N, stem wind stem set, beautiful lever escapement with Geneva stripes in working condition but accuracy not timed, compensation balance with blue steel hairspring, balance staff is OK, 15 jewels with 4 adjusted. Signed "MOVADO 15 JEWELS 4 ADJUST SWISS 34976". Few oxidation in regulator, few broken teeth on the ratchet wheel but it does not affect winding up the spring barrel. Gain 7-8 minutes after running for 24 hours.
Overall a beautiful pocket watch with quality movement., believe that it will be a stunning great and beautiful gem after replacement of the swan neck regulator.
