【 Celebrating 30 Years of Tamiya R/C Cars 】2006 is the year that Tamiya celebrates its 30th anniversary in manufacturing great radio control car products! The first Tamiya R/C car was released in 1976. That model was the 1/12 scale Porsche Turbo RSR Type 934. The technology then was state of the art as it featured an aluminum stamped chassis, rear wheel drive direct drive transmission, 360 size motor, mechanical speed control, rubber tires and a styrene hard plastic body. In 30 years there is a new standard for state of the art in Tamiya radio control car products. Tamiya is proud to celebrate its 30 years in making the best RC cars in the world and for starting a revolution in hobby products. To celebrate this milestone Tamiya is re-releasing the Porsche Turbo RSR Type 934 in 1/10 scale with all the latest advancements in aluminum parts machining, carbon fiber chassis technology as well as everything that has been learned in plastic parts mold making techniques. These materials have all been brought together in this kit to bring the consumer the most accurate and best handling rendition of the Porsche Turbo RSR. This new release is sure to be a highly sought after collectible as well as a fierce performance machine out on the race track.
【 A Brief Background of the Porsche Turbo RSR Type 934 】Based on the Porsche 930 introduced in 1975, the Turbo RSR Type 934 was developed to compete in the Group 4 GT category of FIA races. Equipped with a tuned 2994cc flat-six turbo engine cranking out 485 horsepower and 62 kg/m of torque, the car came to dominate the production car racing scene throughout the world during the 1970s in the hands of many private racing teams and had many impressive performances, including a 2nd place finish at Le Mans 24 Hours. This assembly kit is a model of the machine that was sponsored by the German heating technology company Vaillant.

★ Rear wing and side mirrors come ready to be attached to the body.
