Tamiya 1/18 Vintage Lola T-160 TS Can-Am Model Kit

It was from the rather humble background of amateur car racing that the “LOLA” appeared, as a mere backyard constructed machine, individually made by the driver himself, Erick Broadly. Loa is now famous throughout the world for it’s racing machines produced by the company. In 1963, the Lola GT appeared for the first time at the London Racing Car Show. The semi-monocoque chassis construction consisting of two tubes of box-type cross section was a revolutionary design at the time. It wa showered by a 4.7 litter Ford Fairline V8. In 1965, the Lola T70 appeared at the London Racing Car Show. It was developed from the Lola GT, with the main difference being open body configuration.

Erick Broadly and Derek White teamed together in 1968 to design the new Lola T160 to replace the rapidly ageing T70. The T-160 was a new generation racing car incorporating a wedge-shaped design. This new design maximised air flow over the body to improve traction and road holding capabilities. (Info. from Tamiya instruction sheet)

• Condition : Open box, unassembled.

• Box is in POOR condition - box yellowed, dirty with stains, shelf wear and dent, scuff marks, scotch tape marks, please refer to the photos.

• Content : Complete, no missing parts, all parts are still in sealed bags - unopened and untouched, complete, minor scratches on plastic bag and some parts are separated from the sprue, please refer to the photos. 

• 1 driver figure included.

• All rubber tires seems in good(elastic) conditions.

• Decals seems in POOR condition- dirty with stains and yellowing, not sure if it is working fine so buyers please put this into your consideration, please refer to the photos.

• Yellowed & dirty Instruction sheet.

• The AAA-size battery appears in all photos are just for scale only, NOT  included in this sales.

• A very impressive and beautiful kit that is crisp and nicely reproduced. A must have item for both model builder and collector!
