Moreover it possesses all the refinements of stabilisation, ranging machine gun, multi fuel engine, automatic gearbox and infra-red equipment for night fighting.
It's mobility will be adequate for most areas in Europe, when the full potential of its engine is developed.
Vickers share all the production of CHIEFTAIN with the Royal Ordnance Factories and are the parent designers for the project. They designed and developed the turret in co-operation with Leyland's, who designed and developed the chassis. Vickers are ready to assist the War Office and other firms to provide the necessary information and technical aid for CHIEFTAIN to be built licence abroad.
Up for sale is a rare and beautiful vintage 1/25 tank - the "Chieftain", this is a twin motor version released in 1980, kit comes with metal gear box and interlocking caterpillar tracks, bonus with 2 x RE-280 motor and one brand new Tamiya remote control box, manufacture in Oshika(小鹿), truly a highly collectible & beautiful vintage kit from early Tamiya.

• Made in JAPAN.
• Condition : Open box, unassembled.
• Box is in VERY POOR condition - very dirty with stains, shelf wear and dent, scuff marks, price tag marks, damaged panels.
• Content : Complete, all parts are still in sealed bags - unopened and untouched, minor scratches on plastic bag and some parts are separated from the sprue, please refer to the photos.
• Kit comes with metal parts - die cast gearbox, all are kept in factory sealed blister pack.
• Movable suspension.
• Individual interlocking caterpillar tracks.
• Bonus: 2 x Mabuchi RE-280 motor. (Brand new in box and both are tested and confirm in working condition)
• Bonus: Brand new vintage Tamiya remote control box set #7004 - box is fair good condition and all content inside is in new and unassembled condition.
• Decals in good conditions but a little bit yellowing - still sealed in blister pack.
• Yellowed & dirty Instruction manual.
