It is generally acknowledged that with its 120mm. gun, heavy armour and bag-charge ammunition there is no tank in the Western world to compare with the CHIEFTAIN in gun power and protection. Moreover it possesses all the refinements of stabilisation, ranging machine gun, multifuel engine, automatic gearbox and infra-red equipment for night fighting.
Its mobility will be adequate for most areas in Europe, when the full potential of its engine is developed.
Vickers share all the production of CHIEFTAIN with the Royal Ordnance Factories and are the parent designers for the project. They designed and developed the turret in co-operation with Leyland's, who designed and developed the chassis. Vickers are ready to assist the War Office and other firms to provide the necessary information and technical aid for CHIEFTAIN to be built under licence abroad.
Up for sale is a rare and important vintage Tamiya Mokei 1/35 motorised Chieftain model kit, kit comes with metal gear box and rubber track, this is the 2nd release version on 1967 manufacture in Oshika(小鹿), truly a highly collectible & beautiful vintage kit from early Tamiya/Mokei.

• 100% authentic, all original, absolutely NOT fake / recast / copy.
• Made in JAPAN.
• Condition : Open box, unassembled.
• Box is in POOR condition - dirty with stains, shelf wear and dent, scratches & scuff marks.
• Content : Complete, all parts are still in sealed bags - unopened and untouched, minor scratches/damages on plastic bag and some parts has been separated from the sprue.
• Kit comes with metal parts, gearbox, rubber tracks, all are kept in factory sealed plastic bag.
• Comes with 1 set of rubbers tracks - very dirty with dust and stains.
• Powered by one RE-14 motor - sold separately. (NOT INCLUDED)
• Decals in very poor conditions and still sealed in plastic bag - dirty and yellowed, not sure if it is working fine, so buyers should put this into your consideration. (Photo #9)
• Japanese instruction manual - yellowed and dirty with stains.
• The AAA-size battery appears in all photos are just for scale only, NOT included in this sales.
