It is generally acknowledge that with its 120mm gun, heavy armour and bag-charge ammunition there is no tank in the Western world to prepare with the CHIEFTAIN in gun power and protection. Moreover it possesses all the refinements of stabilisation, ranging machine gun, multi fuel engine, automatic gearbox and infra-red equipment for night fighting.
It's mobility will be adequate for most areas in Europe, when the full potential of its engine is developed.
Vickers share all the production of CHIEFTAIN with the Royal Ordnance Factories and are the parent designers for the project. They designed and developed the turret in co-operation with Leyland's, who designed and developed the chassis. Vickers are ready to assist the War Office and other firms to provide the necessary information and technical aid for CHIEFTAIN to be built licence abroad.
Up for sale is a rare and beautiful 1/25 tank - the "Chieftain", this is the early single motor version released in 1975, kit comes with metal gear box and interlocking caterpillar tracks, bonus with a Mabuchi RE-36 motor, manufacture in Oshika(小鹿), truly a highly collectible & beautiful vintage kit from early Tamiya.

• Box is in VERY POOR condition - very dirty with stains, shelf wear and dent, scuff marks, price tag marks, damaged panels, please refer to the photos.
• Content : Complete, all parts are still in sealed bags - unopened and untouched, minor scratches on plastic bag and some parts are separated from the sprue, please refer to the photos.
• Kit comes with metal parts - die cast gearbox, all are kept in factory sealed blister pack.
